Beef shipments decline in July, but high prices limit drop in revenue

Cepea, August 18, 2026   CATTLE – After registering the best first half of the year in history, Brazilian beef exports started the second half of 2026 at a more moderate pace. This movement, however, does not represent a shift of the positive trend observed in the first months of the year. The slowdown in July is mainly related to lower shipments to China, following the strong anticipation of sales to that market in the first months of the year and the advance in the filling of the quota established by the country, which, according to the Chinese government, already reached 90% by  early August
