2024/25 season registers higher prices compared to the last crop

Cepea, April 2, 2025 – Although prices for both hydrous and anhydrous ethanol dropped in March, the last month of the offseason, average values were higher in the accumulated of the 2024/25 season compared to those verified in the last crop.   The demand for hydrous ethanol increased in the end of the current season, due to the good advantage of the biofuel at pumps, which sustained prices between December/24 and February/25.   From April/24 to March/25, the CEPEA/ESALQ Index for hydrous ethanol averaged BRL 2
