Players prioritize term contracts; prices continue to move down

Cepea, September 2, 2025 – Cotton prices continued to decrease in the domestic market in August. Due to the progress of harvesting and processing activities, cotton growers prioritized term contracts at the end of the month, especially because most of them were settled at more advantageous values than current ones in the spot market. Other sellers offered some volumes and were more flexible regarding quotations; however, purchasers offered lower prices
