Volume traded decreases in SP, but prices are firm

Cepea, August 18, 2025 –Only a few trades involving small amounts of hydrous ethanol were closed in the first week of August in the spot market of São Paulo state. This scenario is related to the low demand from some distributors.   Purchasers were away from closing deals, claiming that prices in the spot market in SP were high – some of them bought volumes in other states, especially in Goiás and in Mato Grosso do Sul, to supply the need in SP
